Dryer for braided sleeves TGR60

MEDIUM THICKNESS POLYOLEFIN HEAT SHRINK SLEEVE

The medium thickness TTPAMS sleeve is a flexible heat shrinkable sleeve with internal adhesive. The inner surface of the sleeve is coated with a hot-melt adhesive that melts around the object during shrinkage, in order to protect it from any infiltration of water or moisture. The high shrinkage ratio makes this sleeve suitable for protecting particularly irregular objects due to high dimensional differences. Ideal in all applications where a high degree of protection is required. Furthermore, the high thickness of the wall, after shrinking, makes this sleeve particularly suitable for uses where high mechanical protection is required.

  • Shrinkage ratio: from 3:1 – 4:1 Medium Thickness
  • Available diameters: from 8.0mm to 410.0mm
  • Operating temperature: -55°C to +110°C
  • Compliant with Standards: ASTMD2671, ASTMD792, UL224, IEC243, IEC93, ISO62, ASTME28, DIN30672, ISO846

Heat shrink indication

  1. To shrink the heat-shrinking sheath, use equipment made for this specific operation such as, for example, guns or hot air tunnels.
  2. Shrink the sheath starting at one end, the most critical side, and then proceed slowly to the opposite end. This method avoids the formation of air bubbles between the inner wall of the heat shrink sleeve and the object it covers.
  3. In the event that the object to be covered is made of metal or a good heat conductor, it is advisable to preheat the object to avoid “cold zones”, so as to allow a perfect and soft adaptation of the heat-shrinking sheath.
  4. In order to avoid overheating of the heat shrink sleeve, ensure regular heat distribution. Excessive overheating of the material during the shrinking process can cause bubbling, discoloration and in some cases even breakage of the heat shrink sheath.
