Heat shrink sleeve TA3155 automotive

HEAT SHRINK SLEEVE IN SHRINK POLYOLEFIN 3 ÷ 1 WITH INTERNAL ADHESIVE

The TA3155 sleeve is a flexible heat shrinkable sleeve with internal adhesive. The inner surface of the sleeve is coated with a hot-melt adhesive that melts around the object during shrinkage, in order to protect it from any infiltration of water or moisture. The high shrinkage ratio makes this sleeve suitable to be used for protecting particularly irregular objects due to high dimensional differences. Ideal in all applications where a high degree of protection is required, the TA3155 sleeve is particularly suitable for use in the “Automotive” sector.

  • 3:1 shrinkage ratio with internal adhesive
  • Available diameters: from 1.6mm to 39.0mm
  • Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C
  • Complies with Standards: UL 224 VW-1, ASTMD2671, UL 224, ASTMD570, MIL-DTL-23053/4, ASTMD257, ASTMD150

Approval: File 305771

Heat shrink indication

  1. For shrinking the heat-shrinking sheath, use equipment made for this specific operation such as, for example, guns or hot air tunnels.
  2. Shrink the sheath starting at one end, the most critical, and then proceed slowly to the opposite end. This method avoids the formation of air bubbles between the inner wall of the heat shrink sleeve and the object it covers.
  3. In the event that the object to be covered is made of metal or a good heat conductor, it is advisable to preheat the object to avoid “cold zones”, so as to allow a perfect and soft adaptation of the heat-shrinking sheath.
  4. In order to avoid overheating of the heat shrink sleeve, ensure a regular heat distribution. Excessive overheating of the material during the shrinking process can cause bubbling, discoloration and in some cases even breakage of the heat shrink sheath.
