Heat shrink sleeves HF Series Halogen Free

SELF-EXTINGUISHING HEAT SHRINKING SLEEVE IN POLYOLEFIN “HALOGEN FREE SERIES” SHRINKAGE 2 ÷ 1

The HALOGEN FREE HF Series polyolefin sleeve is a self-extinguishing heat shrinkable sleeve that has excellent physical and electrical properties. Ideal for general cladding, wiring and insulation, thanks to the simplicity with which it shrinks. It adapts very easily to the part to be covered.

  • 2:1 shrinkage ratio: the sleeve shrinks 2 times with respect to the initial diameter
  • Available diameters: from 1.2mm to 180.0mm
  • Operating Temperature: -55°C to +125°C
  • Compliant with Standards: UL 224 VW-1, IEC 243, ASTMD2671, UL224, IEC 93, UL224 600V, UNI EN 14582:2007

Approval: File 305771

Heat

Heat shrink indication

  1. When shrinking the heat-shrinking sleeve, use equipment made for this specific operation such as, for example, guns or hot air tunnels.
  2. Shrink the sleeve starting at one end, the most critical part, and then proceed slowly to the opposite end. This method avoids the formation of air bubbles between the inner wall of the heat shrink sleeve and the object it covers.
  3. In the event that the object to be covered is made of metal or a good heat conductor, it is advisable to preheat the object to avoid “cold areas”, so as to allow a perfect and soft adaptation of the heat-shrinking sleeve.
  4. In order to avoid overheating of the heat-shrinkable sleeve, ensure there is regular distribution of heat. Excessive overheating of the material during the shrinking process can cause bubbles, discoloration and in some cases even breakage of the heat-shrinking sleeve.
