Heat shrink sleeve T3155 automotive

HEAT SHRINK SLEEVE IN POLYOLEFIN SHRINKAGE 3:1 AUTOMOTIVE

The T3155 sleeve is a flexible heat shrink sleeve. The high shrinkage ratio makes this sleeve is suitable to be used for the protection of particularly irregular objects due to high dimensional differences. Ideal in all applications where a high degree of protection is required, the T3155 sleeve is particularly suitable for use in the “Automotive” sector.

  • Shrinkage ratio 3:1 the sleeve shrinks 3 times with respect to the initial diameter
  • Available diameters: from 1.6mm to 39.0mm
  • Operating temperature: -55°C  to +125°C
  • Compliant with Standards: UL 224, VW-1, ASTMD2671, MIL-DTL-23053/4, IEC 93, IEC 243

Approval: File 305771

Heat Shrinking Guidelines

  1. For shrinking the heat shrink tubing, use equipment specifically designed for this operation, such as heat guns or hot air tunnels.
  2. Start shrinking from one end – preferably the most critical point- and then proceed gradually toward the opposite end. This method helps prevent the formation of air pockets between the inner wall of the tubing and the substrate.
  3. If the substrate is metal or a good thermal conductor, preheating is recommended to avoid “cold spots” and ensure smooth, uniform recovery of the tubing.
  4. To prevent overheating, ensure even heat distribution throughout the process. Excessive heating during the shrinking process may cause bubbling, discoloration, or, in some cases, damage or rupture of the tubing.
